RT Networking at Indaba 8 May – all welcome

The first ever Responsible Tourism fringe networking event at Indaba will take place this year. Inspired by the RT Fringe Networking that has been so valuable and effective starting at WTM in London several years ago and spreading to ITB in Berlin, this event will bring like-minded and interested people together at Indaba in Durban for an informal get-to-know-you.

Many people across South Africa have come to know about one another via social media, in reading documents, through e-mail or via word of mouth, but have never met face-to-face. We also hope to assist the southern African and African individuals active in RT to link up with the broader international community of RT, and increase the representation and participation of Africans at big global events like WTM and ITB, but also online through events like RT Week and in online forums, via Twitter, Flickr and other social media.

The event will take place on Sunday, 8 May from 17h00 – 18h00 at the RT in Cities Pavilion. All are welcome, from experts and old-timers to the curious and newbies. Wine will be available for free until it runs out, thanks to Cape Town Tourism and Signal Hill Winery.

Please spread the word!
